Family & Friends
I am blessed with an incredible, loving family and network of friends. I am the oldest of three children with two younger brothers, who I am very close with. Both of my parents were 1 of 4 children, so I have a lot of awesome cousins! I was raised in a pretty traditional house, having dinner as a family almost every night and Sunday dinners at grandma's house with the extended family every week. While weekly dinners are no longer a thing, we get together often for holidays, birthdays, beach and ski vacations, and many times in between. I also have a network of amazing friends, who are a big part of my life. We celebrate the milestones and wins, and are there to support each other during tough times. I will be a single mom, but I will not be raising this baby on my own. I have the best tribe, and this baby will be so loved and supported.
My parents were married for 33 years, before my father passed away from cancer. While my dad is no longer here, his love and his memory will always be present in my life, and I will carry forward the love and the values he and my mom instilled in me growing up. While there will not be a father in the picture, my brothers and my uncles will be loving, supportive, available male figures in my baby’s life. They can’t wait!
Traditions
Some of my greatest memories from childhood are around holiday traditions, especially Christmas. Holidays have always been about family, friends, food and laughter. It started with going to cut down a tree - we would bring hot chocolate and lunch and make a day of it. Everyone got to weigh in on the “best” tree, and then dad and my brothers would cut it down. I have so many memories decorating the tree, baking cookies with my mom, and trips into New York City to see the tree at Rockefeller Center and the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. My parents always hosted Christmas Eve, which was open to family and friends to feast on my mom’s traditional Italian fish dinner, followed by a slide show looking back on Christmas’ past. A night that is always filled with much love and lots of laughter.
The Little Ones
I have four amazing nephews. These little loves hold a special place in my heart. I cherish my time with them from walks and picnics in the park to sleepovers with movies and popcorn. These little guys light up my world. I also love spending time with my friends’ kids and my cousins' little ones. They are all so excited to welcome and love my baby!
Friends
I’m surrounded by loving supportive friends. Some from as far back as high school, and other friends I’ve met along my journey. It’s an incredible network of men and women, near and far. We celebrate life, marriages, babies, and successes, and we are always there to support each other during tough times. We lift each other up, support and encourage each other and have fun together! We are family.
